Pastor Larry was one of our favorite men of God. We loved his passion for sharing the gospel and for loving people. He always had a great smile and hearty handshake whenever I (Steve) greeted him. Jane loved working with him every week as he shared messages from God. We looked forward to the opportunities when he would come to visit us at Cornerstone. And we love Paula and pray for her comfort during this difficult time. Heaven gained a wonderful brother. See you again, Pastor Larry, in the sweet by and by.

Dear Paula & family,
Jimmy and I were so very sorry to hear about Larry’s passing. Larry was the nicest man and most Godly example to so many, we were and still are privileged to call him our friend. We will always remember his great sense of humor (Big Bird) and sincere love for others. Just being around him would cheer you up if you were down and comfort you if you were sad. He truly had a special gift of sharing Christ love with everyone he came in contact with. He loved you and his family so much, he was so proud of all of you. Every single day we worked together he would tell me some accomplishment or little story about you or the boys. Then as your family grew you could hear in his voice him beaming with joy talking about all the beautiful grand daughters God was blessing you all with!

I learned so much from his example of how to have compassion for the lost and a true yearning to grow Gods kingdom.
There is no doubt that he heard the words, “well done, my good and faithful servant” the instant he stepped in Jesus’ presence. We know that we will meet again one day in heaven, but we sure will miss him until that day comes. I know that I will miss my “happy birthday” call every year.

You all are in our prayers, we love you and are here if we can do anything at all for you. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

In Christian Love,
Shelley & Jimmy Cauley

I only met Mr. Wood once, on the occasion of Josh and Leah’s wedding. I remember a very kind and welcoming man with a great sense of humor. Praying for his family.

I am so thankful for the time pastor Larry shared with us at Cornerstone in Cleveland. He was a tremendous blessing and a gifted speaker. He will be missed but thankfully he is in the arms of Jesus. He fought the good fight here and can rest now.
