HICKORY – Jamie “Jay” Wayne Olsen of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2019.
He was born on April 25, 1976 in Catawba County, he was the son of Bob and Sharon Olsen. Jamie was a huge sports fan. He attended Long View Church of God. Jamie was a loving son, brother, uncle and a friend to all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Christina Olsen.
Survivors include his parents, Bob and Sharon Olsen of Hickory; sister, Sandra Billips of Newton; niece, Cierra Ikard of Hickory, nephew, Nathaniel Billips of Newton; great-nephew, Rylen Ikard of Hickory; great-niece, Marayah Ikard of Hickory; and a number of other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 3 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Rev. E.J. Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 PM -2:45 PM at the funeral home.
