Janice Donkle McCaslin, 88 of Vale, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 17th, 1938, in Catawba County, NC, Janice was the daughter of the late Harvey Earl Donkle and Ruby Yoder Donkle Bolick. She retired from Joan Fabrics after 43 years of loyal service. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Reita Lackey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Austin McCaslin of seventy years; her son, Tim McCaslin and wife, Renee; her granddaughter, Amber Proctor and husband, Van; and her great-grandchildren Addie and Vance Proctor.
A receiving of friends will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. We will follow with a service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rob Helton officiating.
She will be laid to rest following the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
