She was born September 21, 1940 to the late Gaither & Maggie Townsend Gross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles King, a sister, Geraldine Lail, and 2 brothers, Daniel & George Gross.
Surviving are her sons, Gather ( Vivian) King and Terry (Emily) King; daughters, Loretta (Ricky) Matney, Donna (William) Millman, Phyllis (Bruce) Byrd and Kim Eller, 18 grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Shirley Garrett and Mary Ann Wiseman.
Funeral service Monday at 10:00 AM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wilkies Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
