Jean LaRue (Self) Orr

She was born in Burke County on February 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Hazel Self and Kathrine Hamby Self Capps.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Mosteller of Hildebran, and Gary Orr of Charlotte and a brother TK (Beau) Capps and wife Pat Capps of Hickory.

She is survived by her daughters Virginia (Jennie) M. Cook and husband Barry W. Cook of Hildebran, Rinda M. Koehler and husband William Koehler of FLA, Elizabeth (Libby) Fields and husband Keith Fields of Hildebran, and Sandra M. Milhoan and Derek Reams of FLA.; grandchildren LeAnne Cook Lynn, and Julie Cook Walker both of Hildebran, Nicholas Koehler, Anthony Koehler and William Koehler all of FLA, and Brandie Fields of High Point; great grandchildren Barry Jordon Cook and Brianna Marie Walker both of Hildebran; great great grandchild Reagan Marie Cook of Hildebran; sisters Sandra Huff and husband Troy Huff of Statesville, and Nancy Holsclaw of Taylorsville, and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Jean was blessed with five generations of family, a milestone that she was so proud of.

A private service for family will be held with burial to follow. Michael Bruce Cobb of the Great Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church of Drexel will be officiating the service.
