Jerry Wayne Bolick

Jerry was born May 3, 1946 in Alexander Co. to the late Adrian Cecil and Lottie Eckard Bolick of Bethlehem.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters; Mildred Payne and Barbara Bolick, brother; Wade Bolick, father-in-law; Ted Fox, brothers-in-law; Richard Payne, Richard Bolick and Levi Dagenhart, sister-in-law; Precious Bolick and a nephews, Roger Bolick.

He joined the Bethlehem Fire Dept in 1966 and was fire chief for 14 years and was also President and on the Board of Directors for the Alexander Co. Firemen’s Assoc. He retired from the NC DOT in Alexander Co.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Sherry Fox Bolick of the home, sisters; Betty Jo Dagenhart and Cecilia Lail, mother-in-law;’ Jolene Fox, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Roger and Judy Baker, brother-in-law, Clyde Lail of Hickory, nephews; Todd Baker and wife, Tennille, Kasey Bolick and wife, Lindsay, Keith Bolick, Kevin Bolick and wife, Donna, Kenneth Bolick and wife, Peggy and Duran Lail and wife Cathy all of Bethlehem, Steve Dagenhart and wife, Penny of Hickory and Tony Lail and wife Angela of Charlotte and four special children that we loved as our own that helped Jerry to enjoy life, Paige Lowrance, Zach and Cooper Bolick and Haley Holman.

A very special thanks to four nephews and wives, Todd, Kasey, Keith and Kevin for all their love and help. A very special thanks to Shannon and Stephanie Lowrance, Regina Smith, Roger & Judy Baker, Jolene Fox, Tim and Kenny Starnes, Barry and Linda Barber, Ted and Glenda Bowman, Dinah Purser and Johnny and Becky Clevinger for all the prayers, love, visits, help and support that you gave. Without you we could not have done it.

A special thanks to Bethlehem Community Fire/ Rescue for all of your lifting, assistance, support, visits and love you showed us. To Leslie Thompson, that was a wonderful home care nurse. To Mark Faruque and Staff, Dr. Leland Cook and Palliative CareCenter & Hospice and staff of the Catawba Co for your love and support through the years.

He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church, where services will be Saturday, January 22, at 2:00 P. M. with the Pastor Mike Stone officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kasey Bolick, Todd Baker, Keith Bolick, Kevin Bolick, Shannon Lowrance, Tim Starnes, Josh Reese and Randy Hall.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Kenny Starnes, Johnny Clevinger, Paul Rhyne and Peedie Montgomery and the Bethlehem Firemen/Rescue and other surrounding county agencies.

Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:45 – 1:45 P. M. at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church.
