NEWTON – Jerry Wayne Moody Sr., 71 of Newton burst through the gates of Heaven on January 6, 2025 at Carolina Caring surrounded by his family.
Born on March 3, 1953 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Ralph and Frances Lamb Moody. Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Moody.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jerry Wayne Moody Jr and wife Martha, Chastity Mull; grandchildren, Madison Moody, Jackson Moody, Peyton Mull, and Mason Mull; and numerous other family members.
Services will be private.
