Mr. Jessie Allen Grooms

Jessie was born May 11, 1935 in Catawba Co. to the late John and Dovie Hinson Grooms.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Grooms, infant brother, William Grooms, sisters, Susie Rangle and Leavada Berryhill.

Jessie was of the Baptist faith, a self employed painter with Sunrise Services and an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Smith Grooms, daughters, Jessica Page and husband Eric of Hickory, Jana Smith and husband David and Tracy Painter and husband Nathan both of Maiden, sons, Tony McKeehan of Gastonia and Wayne McKeehan of Los Angeles, CA. grandchildren, Courtney Page, John Alexander Grooms, Berkley Smith, Joseph Painter, Jasea Painter, Lindsey Lee and husband Toby, Jeffrey McKeehan, Anthony McKeehan, Andrea McKeehan, Nicholas McKeehan and William McKeehan, sister, Leona Walls and husband Merle of Hickory and a special niece Linda Johnson of Hickory.

Services will be Thursday at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Barry Pearce officiating.

Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park
