HICKORY – Jimmie Lucille Turner 82, of Hickory went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 29th, 2022.
She was born on July 27, 1940 in Hamilton County, AL to the late Arnie Lee and Maurene Young McCoy. Jimmie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Maiden. Jimmie retired from Temple Furniture after many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Turner and a grandson Justin Turner.
Survivors include her sons, Vincent Turner and wife Teresa of Cape Coral, FL, Stuart Turner and wife Angela of Conover; 6 grandchildren, Erica Turner Hill, Devin Turner, Ryan Turner, Cory Birchfield, Logan Penley, and Allison Penley who was also her caregiver; and several great-grandchildren; brother, Bill McCoy of Chattanooga, TN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Jason Guyer officiating. Private Service immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Catawba County Humane Society.
