Jimmy Darrel Seale

HICKORY – Jimmy Darrel Seale, 82, passed away at Brian Center on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, after a brief illness. Jimmy was born in Catawba County to the late J.D. and Zelda Huffman Seale on July 9, 1935. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Canipe Seale.

Jimmy was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was awarded Good Conduct and National Defense medals. His last employment was with Bell Springs as a salesman. Jimmy was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Leigh Seale of Columbia, SC, a son Jason Seale and wife Becky of Hickory; granddaughter Mattie Seale of Hickory and a brother Michael Lee Seale and wife Patricia of Hickory. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Missouri Synod with Reverend Dave Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating. The family will receive friends prior from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. Inurnment will be follow in church cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 48.
