Born in Catawba County on August 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Perry Jefferson Eckard and Pauline Houston Eckard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Billy Ray Stafford.
A graveside service for Jo Ann will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory, North Carolina 28602.
