Joan Marie Sepulveda, 78 of Newton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center of Charlotte.
Born on June 12th, 1946, in Worcester County, Massachusetts, Joan was the daughter of the late Alice Zakowski. Joan spent numerous years working for Scarowinds and Lake Hickory Haunts and loved all her monsters. She was an avid cat lover and never turned away a stray cat. She also loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was also a member of the Hickory Seventh Day Adventist Church. Joan was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her 2 sons, Chris Sepulveda and Walter Sepulveda, Jr., as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Catawba County Humane Society in Joan’s name.
