JOANN BAUGUSS FORTE VALE-JoAnn Bauguss Forte, 74 of Vale passed peacefully in her sleep on June 24, 2016. She was born on March 13, 1942 in Caldwell County, to the late Hilton James and Cornelia Walsh Bauguss. JoAnn was retired from the nursing profession. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Wilson and husband Lee of Vale, Lesa Spake and husband Mike of Hickory; four grandsons; one great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; sisters, Patricia Bauguss McKinney and husband Bill of Hickory, Geraldine Bauguss Ellsworth of Port St. Lucie, FL, Phyllis Bauguss Mansolo and husband Andrew of San Antonio, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 3 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Geary Waldon officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
