He was born in Catawba County to the late Lester B. Hedrick and Jennie Reitzel Hedrick.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Malcolm, Jerry and Alfred Hedrick; sister, Peggy Hilton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Rose Poole; special nieces and nephew, Tina Mahoney, Carla Barger and Keith Hilton of the home; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 1:00 to 1:45pm at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals and Cremations.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Homer Greene officiating.
