JOHNIE RICHARD WHITE CATAWBA – Johnie Richard White, 61 of Catawba went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2017 with his daughter by his side. Johnie was born on November 13, 1955 in Iredell County, he was the son of Delphia White and the late Roland “Bill” White. Johnie worked 26 years at Bassett Furniture and a member of Catawba Baptist Church. He was a devoted father and PawPaw to his three grandsons. Johnie loved to garden, mowing, and loved his animals. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a niece, Michelle White. Survivors include his loving mother, Delphia White of Catawba; daughter, Jodie Moss and husband Aaron of Catawba; grandsons, Landon, Jaxon, and Corbin Moss; sisters, Linda Hefner and husband Dewey of Catawba, Dixie Herron of Newton; brother, Randy White of Catawba; two nephews and three nieces. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 3 PM at Catawba Baptist Church in Catawba with Pastor Derek Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-2:45 at the church. The family would like to give a special thanks to Iris Wooten whom he loved dearly.
