She was born on June 30, 1935 to the late Lester Buff and Sadie Viola Winebarger in Catawba County. Joselene was a member of New Covenant Church of God. She was a God fearing woman and a fervent prayer warrior, who loved her family, church, and community deeply. Joselene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert S. Propst; daughter, Bobbie Jo Propst; three brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, John S. Bailey of the home; son, Steve Propst and wife Elizabeth of Hickory; daughters, Sherry P. Ward of Hickory, Vickie P. Toney and husband Carroll of Hickory, Kim P. Lankford and husband David of Casar, Regina P. Propst and husband Tim of Connellys Springs; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and sister, Sonja Ward of Hickory.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1: 00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. Bishop Dennis Pitts will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers; Bobby Propst, Derek Ward, Justin Ward, Wesley Lankford, Adam Propst, Linton Lankford, and Andrew Propst.
