Austin, Donna, and family,
Kelly was my friend, one of my closest friends of 30 years. We spent a lot of time together working, fishing, golfing, watching Austin playing sports, and a lot of conversation. I watched him love his wife and his son. And I envied that. I have lost a special friend. But I know that doesn't even compare to the loss you are feeling. My heart is breaking for you. Austin, what you guys had together was something so special! There are so many people in this world that never get to experience a feeling like that. Cherish that! Treasure the wonderful times you had! I pray that the love you guys had for each other will help you carry on in your life. God bless you all!
And to Kelly, my friend,
Rest peacefully, buddy! Thank you for letting me be part of your life!

When I retired Kelly was a patient I really hated to leave. I believe we were good for each other. I did my best to make him smile and lighten his heavy load and he would go out of his way to appreciate my silliness. He sent the kindness note very soon after I retired and said he already missed me. His heart was a vacuum for all emotion and it just got full. I miss him too.
