LARRY D. BURLESON TAYLORSVILLE-Larry “Bucketman” Burleson, 72, of Taylorsville passed away on January 13, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1942 in Spruce Pine, NC he was the son of the late Selma Burleson. Larry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. One of his greatest joys was watching his three great-grandsons play. He worked for Martin Marietta Aggregates for over forty years. Larry’s love for NASCAR and Carolina basketball always kept him smiling. Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Dixie Burleson of Taylorsville; daughter, Pam Setzer and husband Tommy of Taylorsville; granddaughters, Courtney Bebber and husband Michael of Taylorsville, Kristen Setzer of Taylorsville; great-grandsons, Ethan and Noah Bebber, Elan Hayes; and his long time companion his dog Taco. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 5 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Dean Hart officiating.
