Lee Thor

Lee Thor, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born in Laos on April 14, 1934, and was a longtime resident of Connelly Springs, North Carolina.

Lee was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her home was a place of love, warmth, and togetherness, and her greatest joy was the family she built and nurtured. She was a woman of strength, kindness, and a gentle spirit who loved deeply and gave generously to those around her.

Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband and two sons. Though their loss brought great sorrow to her life, she continued to carry their memories in her heart and remained a source of love and strength for those around her.

She leaves behind three sons, two daughters, and many grandchildren, who will forever cherish the love, wisdom, and memories she gave them. Her family was her greatest blessing, and the love she poured into them will continue through the generations.

Lee was loved not only by her family but by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, caring heart, and presence will be deeply missed. Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort knowing that her love will remain with us forever.

Her life was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

May she rest peacefully, reunited with those who went before her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory, 940 29th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601. Interment will immediately follow on Sunday, September 27, at Burke Memorial Park, 2506 Burke Memorial Park Rd, Morganton, NC 28655.
