Lena Hollar Little was one of the hardest working women I ever knew. She was 99 years old when she passed and that is something to celebrate, even though her last year's were spent in a nursing facility. She was the widow of Howard Little and they owned and ran a diary out Hwy 127 for many years, active members in the church and later in life they had a furniture store across the bridge in Bethlehem. They had one daughter and two granddaughters that will continue the family lineage.
Aunt Lena did love to talk and I recall a trip we took (her sister Betty, myself and a friend of mine) to New York City just before Thanksgiving many years ago. It was a great trip for the two sisters and one I will recall when remembering my Aunt.

I only met Lena once. She is my wife’s aunt and I found her delightful. She came by the house when I was there to visit her sister Betty Goolsby(my mother in law). She talked as much as I do (which is hard to do). I could not believe she was in her late 80s at the time. She like her sister was so full of life and appeared to be going 90 miles a minute. I enjoyed the visit and am sad that she is gone.
