HICKORY – Lewis Franklin Sigmon, 82 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2025 at Abernethy Laurels.
Born on August 4, 1942 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late E. Worth and Beulah Sigmon. Lewis was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Boone, NC. He loved the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, telling jokes and sharing his many stories.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Whitener Sigmon; second wife, Doris Seitz Sigmon and daughter, Donna Sigmon King.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Rodney L. Sigmon and wife Kim; step-daughter, Julie Alexander; granddaughters, Heather Bentley and husband Ken, Kaitlin Sigmon, Bailey Underwood and husband Laban; great-granddaughters, Kensleigh Killian, and Raegan Underwood.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2 PM at Catawba Memorial Park with Rev. Laura Weant officiating. Burial will follow.
