Libby was born July 9, 1939 in Catawba Co. to the late Thomas Glen and Ruth Elizabeth Burns Cloer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wayne Baker.
She was a graduate of Hickory High School and retired from Twin City Knitting after 30 years of service.
Surviving are sons; Arnold D. Baker of the home and Michael Wayne Baker and wife, Susan R, of Conover; daughter, Laura Ann Baker Smith of Newton; granddaughters; Stephanie Otto and Sarah Otto of Connelly Springs; grandsons, Charles Michael Baker of Conover and Jesse Dalton Smith of Newton.
Services will be Thursday, September 20, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clyde Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Hickory Funeral Home.
