She was born on February 4, 1944, to the late James Heavner and Marjorie Deal Adams in Burke County.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Widener Sr. who passed away on 2007; and her brother Don Adams.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Bess Spicer and Ernest Boom of Rhodhiss, sons; Mark Allen Bess and wife Felicity of Grace Chapel, Randy Melford Bess and wife Connie of Connelly Springs; six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and brother, Ron Adams and wife Helen of Nashville, TN.
Honoring Linda’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
