Linda Mae Whitley, 87, of Hickory, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born May 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles Walter Snyder and Emma Mae Snyder. She was a member of First Advent Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Charles Brady Whitley; brother, Bob Snyder; and sister, Nancy Kerr Shushkowski.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Whitley; daughters, Robin Allen and Karen Whitley; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and soon to be, great-great-grandchild.
A Chapel Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
A receiving of friends will be held after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
