
Mang Cha was born September 2, 1936 in the province of Luang Prabang, Laos. She married the late Xay Pao Vue in 1954. Together they had 12 children. They fled to Thailand as refugees from the Vietnam War and immigrated to the United States in 1979. She lived in California until 1996, then made her home in North Carolina. She has always enjoyed gardening and growing her own food. She is survived by her children, Xong Vue, Don Vue, Dia Yang, Yau Vue, Jennie Vue, Tony vue, Tzia Vue and Du Vue; thirty-two grandchildren.
