Marcus Christopher Hux

WAYNESVILLE Marcus Christopher Hux, 52, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at Mission Hospital. He was preceded in death by grandson, Keelan Hux; and an infant sister, Lisa Yvette Hux. He was born June 20, 1963 in Catawba County to Brenda Fagan Hux and Dory Hux. He was survived by his mother, Brenda Fagan Hux and his father, Dory Hux; his wife, Teresa Huntington; son, Marcus Hux and wife, Jamison of Wilmington; sisters, Tommie Hux Swank and husband, Doug and Alisa Hux Isenhower; brother, Dory Brendan "Chip" Hux and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Ava and Bryson Hux; a niece, three nephews and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Newton, as an Operator #2, he also served in the Marine Corps for four years. Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Above all he loved spending time with his family. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m. at Western Steer, 334 SW Blvd., Newton, NC 28658, off Hwy 10. Buffet at guest own expense.
