Margaret S. Evans

Margaret was born September 5, 1927 in Marion Co., Ind. to the late Marshall and Nellie Locke Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leo Evans and a brother, Marshall Spencer, Jr.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and retired from Jobst Hosiery.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Evans Lail and Husband, Ronnie, of Conover; sons, Richard Dale Evans and wife, Patricia, of Hickory and David Ray Evans and wife, Wanda, of Hildebran; grandchildren, Edward Evans, Chad Evans, Billy Nail, Tina Phillips, Bridgett Evans, Dylan Evans and Ramona Bare; step granddaughters, Chanel Owensby and Sherry Harrill; step grandson, Wayne Lail; great grandchildren, Danielle Evans, Savannah Evans, Kayla Phillips, Michael Nail, Stacy Crowe and Josh Crosby; brother, Marion Pete Spencer of Mooresville, Ind. and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, January 12, at 11:00 AM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Kautz officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at Hickory Funeral Home.
