CONOVER – Mary Ellen Burr (Trixie) 68, of Conover went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2023.
Born on February 23, 1955 in Lincoln County, She is the daughter of Johnny Eaker and the late Barbara Eaker. Trixie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, vacations, and her cat, Rascal.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, AJ Burr and step-mother, Hazel (Nanny) Eaker.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Johnny Eaker; children, Kathy Baxter and husband Lamont, Scot Byles and wife April; grandson, Nicholas Byles; granddaughters, Sunee Burr, Rylee Burr; and brother, Wayne Eaker and wife Kim.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Hampton Drum officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM -2 PM at the funeral home.
