Mary Christine Robbins Carswell

Christine was born July 15, 1931 in Caldwell Co. to the late John Franklin and Arlie Bradshaw Robbins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Carswell; 2 brothers, Vilas and Luther Robbins; 2 sisters, Dessie Smith and Myrtle Setzer and a son-in-law, Larry Brittain.

She was a member of First Church of God of Hickory and retired from Neuville, Ind.

She is survived by her daughters; Debra “Debbie” Brittain of Hildebran and Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Wood and husband, John, of Claremont; son, David Carswell and wife, Sandy, of Hildebran; grandson, Aaron James Carswell of Ind; step granddaughters, Stacy Fender of Drexel and Christy Nix of Wilmington; brothers, John Robbins and Carl Robbins both of FL and Maynard Robbins of Lenoir; sister, Opal Cox of North Wilkesboro.

Services will be Sunday, Dec. 23, at 3:00 P. M. at First Church of God of Hickory with Dr. Michael Hone officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:45 – 2:45 P. M. in the Heritage Room at the church.
