

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arville Eugene “Gene” Gregory; mother, Bonnie Mae Killian; and brothers, Ray Killian, Bob Killian and Johnny Killian.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Barger and husband John, brother, James R. Killian and wife Phyllis of Bethlehem, three grandchildren; Misti Taylor of Hickory, William Taylor and wife Angela of Hickory, Barry Taylor and wife Brooke of Catawba; and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren of whom she loved dearly.
Mary was a long-time member of the Red Hats Society and dedicated member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of Hickory, where she was a faithful member of the choir and served her life for the Lord in several other capacities there.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at the church. Rev. Dr. Ryan T. Ray will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, following the morning service, the family has requested all family and friends to join them back at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church for a meal and fellowship to celebrate Mary’s life and memories as she herself requested.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Altar Guild and Choir, in memory of Mary and her service to the Lord.
