Mary Ester Munday Herman

Mary Ester Munday Herman, age 83, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 01, 2017 at her residence. Born July 29, 1934 in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Carson Munday and Eunice Ellen Bentley. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Herman; and sister, Shirley Reed. She is survived by her four children, Allen Odom, Veronica Odom, Barbara Anderson, and Howard Odom; two stepdaughters, Deanie Killian and Tina Hanson; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brother, J.C. Munday; sisters Evelyn Hines and Charlene Townsend. The family will receive from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church on Airport Road in Hickory. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church in Hickory, with Rev. Paul Deal officiating.
