Mary (Kelly) Wright

Hickory – Mary Kelly Wright, 81 of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 1, 1938, in Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Kelly. Mary was born and raised County Galway, Ireland. She came to the US in 1955 as a young immigrant. She joined her sister Bridget among other family members to pursue her dreams.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Maureen Ann Wright Reese.

Survivors include, 2 daughters, Sarah LaPointe, and Linda Shell; 2 sons, Mike Wright and wife Michele, and Neal Wright; and numerous grand and great grandchildren

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Catawba Memorial Park with Pastor Ray Ryan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carolina Caring (Hospice) at 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
