Just a great guy. Excellent police officer and a good man. Always smiling and quick with a joke. It was a privilege and an honor to work with him. R. I. P. Brother 🙏😢💙

When Matt and I were at Cutler Ridge Jr. High I came to school in shorts one day and the Vice Principal was going to suspend me (it was the last 2 weeks of school) so I ran to Matt to speak on my behalf, as the Student Affairs President! Unfortunately, the VP didn't accept Matt's plea and I actually had to get 2 wacks or be suspended! I took the wacks the next week! I showed up in a dress hoping the VP would change his mind- he didn't -I was not a bad student or anything like that- My mother got wind of this and she walked into the school office and gave the VP a piece of her mind- this was the 70's and when he wacked me, I was in a dress and she called him a 'pervert'- Matt and I had a good laugh and he always remained my hero no matter what! He was that for many back then! God bless!
