McKinsey Chance Pleasants DENVER – McKinsey Chance Pleasants, 19, of Denver passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2016. She was born on February 27, 1996 in Catawba County to Tim Pleasants and Leigh Mingus May. Kinsey, a graduate of East Lincoln High School, worked as a CNA at Bayada Home Health. She was pursuing her RN degree at CVCC. Kinsey is preceded in death by her Granny, Peggy Herman Phillips, Granddaddy, Raymond Pleasants, Paw Paw, Charles Mingus, and her beloved furry brother, Dusty. Survivors include her Mommy, Leigh Mingus May of Denver; Daddy, Tim Pleasants of Cary; Aunt, Miranda (Noy) Phillips of Carrboro; Grandmother, Glenda Pleasants of Stedman; boyfriend, Alex Blount of Iron Station; and numerous other family members. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 3 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
