Melinda “Lynn” Smithers Bollinger, 50, of Hickory, passed away on April 15, 2015 at her residence. Born April 22, 1964 in Dauphin, PA, she was the daughter of Charles James Smithers and Mildred Jean Woods Smithers of Hickory. Lynn was a housewife.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents; her loving husband of 30 years, Danny Bollinger; son, Eric Bollinger and wife Amber of Dallas, NC; grandson, Luke Bollinger; and sister, Debbie Kinney and husband Doug of Hickory.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. Rich Irwin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Catawba County Humane Society, 3224 20th Ave SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
Family and friends will be the pallbearers.
