Maiden – Michael Eugene Burris, 79 of Maiden, NC went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at The Greens in Lincolnton.
Born on April 9th, 1946, in Montgomery County, Kansas, to the late William Eugene and Florence Lillie Ann Garman Burris.
In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Burris Beaver.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31years, Guylia Kay Burris; his daughters, Cherie Burris Pollina (Joe) of Kansas City, Mo., Melissa Dawkins (Darrell) of Woodruff, SC., Patricia Denney Cook (Greg) of Maiden, NC., Tricia Burris Pleasant, Topeka, KS. His grandsons, Nathan Cole (Beth) of Woodruff, SC., Travis Cook (Winter) of Maiden, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPCA, American Lung Association or Maiden Wesleyan Church, in Michael’s name.
