HICKORY- Micheal Shea Setzer, 42, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Catawba County on August 9, 1975, he was the son of Allen Setzer and the late Leisa Rector Setzer. In addition to his mother Leisa Setzer, he was preceded in death by maternal grandfather William Jerry Rector and his maternal grandparents Bobby and Faye Setzer. Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Allen Setzer; a sister Elisha Speagle and husband Michael; a brother Robert Setzer and wife Chasity; maternal grandmother Betty Rector; nieces Cassie Setzer, Katie Setzer, Carlie Setzer, and Allison Speagle; a nephew Dylan Speagle and a number of aunts and uncles, all of Hickory. The family will receive friends Friday, March 30, 2018 from 1:45 pm until 2:45 pm at New Life Fellowship Church, 1941 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 3:00 pm at New Life Fellowship Church with Reverend Greg Hames officiating.
