Minnie Maxine Weeks

Minnie Maxine Shook Weeks, 85 of Granite Falls, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, at Amorem Hospice of Hudson surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 13th, 1939, in Catawba County, NC, Maxine was the daughter of the late E.M. Shook and Minnie Ross Shook. Maxine loved to sew. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed many types of crafts. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll A. Weeks. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lucille Stilwell and Shirley Bowman as well as, her fur babies, Buttons and Pickles.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie Powell and husband Tim; her son, Michael Brittain and wife April; Grandchildren, Christy Summers, William Powell, Brandon Powell, Jada Hullette, Lacey Segura, Maddie Leonhardt and 9 great grandchildren, Tate, Thatcher, Timber, Anya, Koragan, Matix, Colt, Ellie and Grayson.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Hickory on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, at 2pm with Pastor Sam Crowe officiating.

The family will receive friends at Catawba Funeral Home on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, from 1pm - 1:45pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice in Maxine’s name.
