Murel Hoyle Canipe

HICKORY----Murel Hoyle Canipe, 93, passed away February 26, 2016 at Trinity Ridge in Hickory. She was born November 1, 1922 in Cleveland County to the late Donald and Mamie Poteat Hoyle. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Warren G. Canipe Sr.; her son Warren G. Canipe Jr.; her sisters Wanda Lee, Ruby Crump, and Clara Conner; and her brother Carole Hoyle. She was a member of West Hickory Baptist Church and she retired from Shuford Mills. She is survived by her daughter Louise Vanderburg of Hickory; her son Steven Canipe of Hickory; grandchildren Stephanie Thorne, Wendy Berry, Kelly Vanderburg, Warren G. “Trey” Canipe III; 5 great grandchildren; her brothers Kenneth Hoyle and Donald Hoyle Jr. The family will receive friends Monday, February 29, 2016 from 12:30pm to 1:45pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Frady officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
