Someone said to me today, in another context, that there are some people you meet in life and they become part of your heart forever. Nancy was one of those people for me. i still can't quite believe you aren't there. i will miss you. Parry and Bryan, i pray for you and your families. Love to you.

What a sad, sad time for all of us who knew and loved Nancy. To Bryan and Parry and her beloved Grands, our prayers are with you during this time and may it help you all to know how much she was loved by everyone who knew her. So sorry we will not be with you this Saturday, but you will be in our thoughts.

I was fortunate to have Nancy Reid as an English teacher in 6th Grade at Asheville Middle School and again for Social Studies in 8th grade during the first year of the "expeditionary" Team E in 1995. She was a wonderful teacher and a much-needed support to students during the difficult phase of life known as middle school. I read Ray Bradbury for the first time in her class and To Kill a Mockingbird, learned about the civil rights movement, and - together with my classmates - planned a class trip across North Carolina unlike any other. I hope her family and friends know how much she was loved by her students as well.

Parry/Bryan,
I am so sorry for your lose!  Nancy was one of my best buddies as we taught together in the Asheville City Schools.  She truly loved her students and they loved her.  The fun times we had at Jones Elementary will always be a source of encouragement for me.  Nancy was special!

We are going to miss Nancy so much. She was always such a positive and inspiring person and such a wonderful teacher and mentor. Her memory will live on forever with those who loved her. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and close friends.

Dear family.  I will miss the fun "watergun ambushes" at the 4th of July parade with Nancy at Debidue Beach as well as the lively discourses at Frankie's home.  I will pray for family members during this time of great personal loss.
