

He was born in Catawba County on July 25, 1936, to the late Oscar and Ivy Bumgarner Bolick.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Sigmon Bolick; granddaughter Jessy Edmonds; grandson, Nate Bolick; sister Shirley Hutchinson; brothers Tommy Bolick and Hugh Bolick.
He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod for many years, class of 1954 graduate of St. Stephens High School, Veteran of the United States Marines, and a loyal brick mason at Master Masonry for 48 years. His proudest accomplishment was laying the brick for the clock tower at Western Carolina University. Ned was an avid golfer, sports fan, and enjoyed walking 2-3 miles a day. Known for his sense of humor like no other; he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Rowe and fiancé Steven Gouge of Newton, Amy Kotner and husband Tony of Murrieta, CA; a son Matthew Bolick and wife Tracy of Bethlehem; granddaughter, Chelsea Nash; grandsons Josh Mauney, Casey Rowe, and Andrew Gouge; six great-grandchildren; and beloved cat Reva.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:30 am at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo-Synod with Pastor David W. Ziehr and Vicar Peter Frank officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
