Nona Jean Gardner Lowrimore, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born June 23, 1930 in Patrick, SC, she was the daughter of the late Simeon Hoke Gardner and Essie Hodge Gardner. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and was a devout Christian. .
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roy H. Lowrimore, Jr; and brother, James Carlisle Gardner.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas R. Lowrimore and wife Carla of NM; daughters, Hope R. Lowrimore of VA and Leanne Lowrimore Johnson of Hickory; grandchildren, Megan Johnson of Hickory, Scott Johnson and wife Mykah of Stoney Point, Levi Johnson of Taylorsville, Steven Lowrimore and wife Mary of WA and Kristi Lowrimore of TX; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Johnson Moose; brother, Simeon H. Gardner, II and wife Shelby of GA and sister-in-law, Martha Gardner of GA.
A graveside service will be held for Nona and Roy at a later date in Cheraw, SC.
