She was born on September 4, 1924 to the late Pinkney Horace Crawley and Mattie Earley Crawley in McDowell County. Nora was a believer of the Baptist faith.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Javan Mace; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her son, Gene Crawley and wife Patsy of Granite Falls; granddaughter, Leigh-Ann Smith of Charlotte; grandson, Michael Crawley of Charlotte; five great grandchildren; brother, Floyd Crawley and wife Kathryn of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 3: 00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2: 00 until 2:45 p.m.. Pastor Dan Greene will be officiating the service. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
