Pauline Katherine Smith Heafner

She was born February 19, 1926, in Gaston County, NC to the late Ray Smith and Leafie Long Smith. She has always been a caring and loving person, even up to her last days. One of her greatest joys was being a cheerleader at Belmont High School in Belmont, NC.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Grady Anders Heafner; sister, Louise Smith Lanier; and son-in-law, Steven Maske.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sue Maske; brother, Terrell Smith; sister, Joann Harwell and husband Jim; grandchildren, Jeff Maske and wife Tammy, and Keith Maske and wife Amy; and great grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Shea Maske.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, NC with Rev. Peggy Stout officiating.
