Peggy Louise Duncan

HICKORY – Peggy Louise Duncan, 79, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. Peggy was born on August 13, 1935 in Catawba County to the late Martin M. Duncan and Helen Hartzoge Duncan.Peggy was retired as a Principal from Catawba County Schools Systems with a profound sense of social justice and service in the world, locally and globally. She was also a Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.She is survived by her sister, Patricia Duncan of Conover; her sons, Kyle Lane and his wife Teirsa of Conover, Reverend Eric Lane and his wife Beth of Granite Falls, a daughter Ginella Hurley and her husband William C. of Hickory; granddaughters Adriona Hurley of Deep Gap, Melissa Wilson of Hickory, Jamie Starbuck of Conover, Lindsey Lane of Granite Falls, Courtney Lane of Conover and Alexis Jade of Newton; grandsons William Payne of Conover, Paul Lane of Newton, and Kevin Lane of Granite Falls and 6 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 10:15 am to 11:15am Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.The memorial service will be Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 11:30 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend William B.
