Peggy Jean Teague

Peggy Jean Edwards Teague, 82 of Connelly Springs, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on March 10th, 1943, in Burke County, NC, Peggy was the daughter of the late Ruby Mae Edwards. Peggy loved to go to church, fishing, playing cards and Yahtzee. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Teague, Sr.; her stepson, Clyde Teague, Jr.; her grandson, Daniel Chester and her great-grandson, Yamaha Gibson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her 6 sons, Richard Teague, Sr. and wife, Janie, Eddie Teague and wife, Ruth, Darrell Teague and wife, Sheila, Lacey Teague and wife, Jackie, Chad Teague and wife, Danielle, Matthew Teague and wife, Mercedes; 2 daughters, Pamela Whitener and husband, Andy and Gloria Burnett and husband, Corey; her stepson, Jack Teague and wife, Billie; 2 stepdaughters, Sherry Brown and husband, Connie and Teresa Freeman and husband, Rick; 4 brothers, John Edwards, Gary Edwards, Bobby Edwards and Randy Edwards, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Steve Houser officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Peggy’s name.
