

Ralph was born on April 8, 1938 in Catawba County to the late Daniel Murphy and Della Crawley Weaver.In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel “Buck” Willard Weaver and Charles Thomas Weaver.Ralph was a member of Providence Baptist Church, U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany from 1961 to 1963, a member of American Legion Post #48, and retired from Shook Builders Supply.Ralph was always very willing to help anyone in his community especially the elderly, enjoyed working in his garden and yard. Ralph was always there for his family, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Ralph is survived by his wife; Shirley Petty Weaver of the home, a daughter Penny Weaver of the home, two sons, Michael Ralph Weaver and wife Debbie, Daniel H. Weaver and wife, Mandy both of Hickory, three granddaughters, Lindsey Farnsworth and husband William of Newton, Lauren Weaver, Emmery Weaver both of Hickory, a great-grandson, Keaton Farnsworth , a great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Farnsworth both of Newton a sister, Kathryn Bledsoe and husband Buster of Vale, and a number of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Sunday July 19, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Hickory Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday July 20, 2015 at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Walsh and Reverend Ernie Richards officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 2:30 P. M. until 3:00 P.M.Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 48. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
