NEWTON – Raymond Hill, 87 of Newton went home to be with the Lord on June5, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 21, 1938 in Cocke County, TN to the late Pearl Victoria Grooms. Raymond was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was a devoted Tennessee Volunteers fan.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death one brother and four sisters.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Wanda Hill; sons, Ricky Hill and wife Debbie, David Hill; grandchildren, Daniel Hill and wife Jennifer, Miranda Locklear and husband Michael; great-grandchildren, Kyrick Hill, Ezra Hill, Ava Locklear, Reid Locklear; sister, Cleta Cline and husband Bud and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1 PM at Catawba Funeral Home. Burial will be follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 PM -1 PM at the funeral home.
