Born in Catawba County on January 14, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Mattie Bumgarner Bolick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Bolick, and her niece Sundae.
Rebecca attended Open Door Baptist Church and was retired from Hamrick’s after 30 years.
She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Prestwood of Newton and Melanie Bates of TN; grandchildren Nicole Johnson, Myrinda Bryant, Staci Bryant, and Grant Stanley; great grandchildren, Joseph, Jasmine, Athena, Lilly, Madalyn and Camelia; her sister Linda Starnes of Lexington, NC; niece Jerri and nephews Brian and Jimmy.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
