

Richard Mullins, beloved husband, father, and pawpaw peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Amorem Hospice in Hudson. He was devoted to his wife and their family; his warmth, kindness, and caring heart touched everyone who knew him.
Richard was born to Ronnie Bruce Mullins and Anita LaBelle Burgess.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie, his grandson Sawyer Mullins, and his special granddaughter, Makayla Lynn Mullins.
Richard worked hard to provide for his family. He devoted many years to his career as the Street Department Supervisor for the City of Newton.
For over 21 years, Richard shared his life with Amanda Mullins. Richard devoted his life to Amanda and cherished the years they had together.
Richard had a deep passion for the outdoors. He loved the mountains and the beach. He enjoyed camping and target shooting. He also loved to work with all the heavy machinery. Richard’s favorite hobby was riding his Harley!
He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda, daughters, Brooke Mullins (Brandon White), Kristin Mullins (Shawn Grant), sons, Tyler Mullins and Cody Shumate, and grandchildren, Aubrey Mullins, Emberly White, Oaklynn White, and Brayden White. Richard is also survived by his brothers, Ronnie D. Mullins and Ronnie Kelly, and sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Paul McLean. Richard’s legacy of strength, love and dedication will always live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Richard will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and admiration.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Drum Funeral Home-Hickory.The Mullins family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
